Do you have a physical storefront?

While we do not have a physical store front we offer order online and curbside pickup the same day, as well as local same day door front delivery within 10 miles of Crystal Lake located in Ellington/Stafford CT.  We also offer pay online or cash on delivery/pickup to our local customers. Both options are available at checkout

Can I pickup and avoid shipping charges?

Yes select local pickup at checkout . We are located in Connecticut on the Stafford/Ellington town line near Crystal Lake   Just email us,  contact us via our website chat, or call us 860-375-3104 most pickups can be made within minutes.  If you are within 10 miles of Crystal Lake we deliver the same day just select local delivery at checkout

Do you ship live fish and how do you ship them?

Yes we ship all over the USA excpet for Alaska and Hawaii. Are fish are shipped in thick plastic bags with methylene treated water as an extra protection.  The bags are tightened and placed in a cardboard box that is insulated with Styrofoam on all sides to maintain temperature. If shipping to cold areas we may add a heat pack based on the current weather conditions. We strive to keep the fish safe and limit their stress during shipping. We offer 2-3 day priority shipping. to save our customers on shipping costs as we understand  some customers cant justify the overnight shipping charges.  Fish can live 4+ days in the the shipping box in mild weather should there be a slight delay with the carrier but of course its always best to get them to you as fast as possible. We also offer overnight shipping and during the cold weather here in the Northeast we only ship overnight. If we are only shipping overnight it will be noted on our home page.

Do you ship 7 days a week

We ship live fish only on Mondays and Tuesdays.  This is to prevent fish from sitting with the carrier on non business days. In addition our fish are fasted for at least two days before shipping to minimize water pollution inside of the bag during transit, so this can affect shipping dates as well. It is highly recommended that someone be home to receive the fish, so the package does not sit outdoors in the cold or heat. 

 Please remember that the delivery of your order is the responsibility of the shipping carrier. Once a package leaves our facility, you must reach out directly to the shipping carrier selected during checkout to resolve delivery issues.

I selected overnight why hasn't my order shipped?

We fast our fish for up to 48 hours before shipping to minimize water pollution inside the bag during transit.  Overnight shipping is the method in which the carrier will deliver to you once the fish is safely ready to go to its new home.

What if a fish or some fish arrive dead?

If any fish arrive dead you must contact us within 1 Hour of the package being delivered. We will use the time noted in tracking provided by the carrier. DO NOT open the bag. Please take a picture of the dead fish in the UNOPENED bag and email it to us along with a brief description of the issue. We will issue you a credit towards a future purchase.  Shipping is non refundable.  Buyer is responsible for the shipping cost of any replacement fish. We take great pride in our fish and love each and everyone one of them.  We will not sell or ship an unhealthy fish.  We want your fish to live a happy and prosperous life in your aquarium.

What if the fish arrives alive but dies afterwards?

We ship only healthy fish.  All fish are thoroughly taken care of and checked before shipping.  Once they are added to your aquarium we are not responsible for death or illnesses.  Their continued health, water quality in your aquarium and maintenance are your responsibility.
